Date:               First week August 6-9, 2024, Second week August 12-16, 2024

Times:            Tuesday – Thursday from 8am – 5:00pm & Friday 8am-3:30pm

Location:        Smiths Falls Memorial Arena

Age Groups:   Boys & Girls Ages 7 through 15

Meals:            Breakfast, lunch & snacks are included in registration fees. Our camp is Peanut Free.

PROGRAMS ​

We strive to deliver an exceptional camp experience to every participant by providing them with a fun, safe and supportive environment where they may improve their abilities and level of enjoyment in hockey. Equipment must be “Ice Ready”. (New laces, skates sharp, helmet in good shape.)

OUR INSTRUCTORS

Our hockey school is designed to offer the opportunity to work on your game, whatever your skill level.

You’ll receive age and skill appropriate instructions designed to improve the overall player by our caring and mature staff who have a passion for hockey and for teaching kids.

ON ICE DEVELOPMENT

Below is a list of items we will be working on during the camp. Drills will incorporate these skills tactics. Kids will be grouped with players who are at their skill level:

 

Skating​

Stance, Turns & Lateral Movement, Agility, Stride, Backwards Skating, Stopping

​Skills​

Puck Control, Passing and Receiving, Shooting, Checking (non-contact), Attacking, Team Tactics

Goal Tending Skating, Net Movements, Angles, Rebound Control, Positioning, Break-Away

 

OFF ICE CONDITIONING

Instructors organize a wide variety of activities which allows for a change of pace from the on ice drills. These activities help to further condition the kids

in a more relaxed and fun atmosphere. It also helps to develop a sense of teamwork, and builds a fun and healthy competitive environment.

 

Sample off ice activities: Dodgeball, Soccer, Relay Races, Plyometrics, Stretching etc…
